Hi everyone, I can’t believe it has been one and a half years since I started this website and posted on this blog. I am sorry that we have been gone so long. However, so much has happened that derailed this ambition of mine, things that became more important than this website and blog. In June of 2014, at the time of this last post, the organization I worked for shut down and I lost my job. I began to look for another one and focused all my energy on that; after four months, I found and began a new one. This was a stressful time, to say the least. At that time, I dedicated myself to my new job and, as usual, to the kids, both Jamie and Cameron. And, well, things happened and time passed. My job was demanding and I loved it and it deserved my full attention, as did the kids and their own stuff they were dealing with.
Last year was hard for Jamie, but in the interest of privacy, I will leave that for now. She is doing well and continues to work hard and all that she does, we are so proud of her. For Cameron, 2015 was a busy year, because he LOVES to be busy, such an organized and ambitious boy. So much has happened, he continued to play basketball in grade 8, in grade 9 he took up power lifting with the Special Olympics and what a rewarding time that has been for him, he competed in and won two competitions in the fall of 2016.
In the fall of 2015, Cameron was diagnosed with a new autoimmune disease that has been heartbreaking to say the least, I will fill you in more on that in a later blog. Suffice to say that it has been overwhelming to watch for this mom.
But, now, for many reasons, and thanks to many angels in our lives who have encouraged me to get back to this, my purpose on this earth, we are back. I have loved all of your encouragement over the past several years and I am looking forward to communicating with all of you in months and years to come on Cameron’s and Jamie’s endeavors and all they do to inspire life.
If it is your first time to this site, please click on “Our Journey Begins” in the tab at the top of the page, that will give you all the insight you need as to why I started this site.
Happy 2016 and God Bless.
